Flea Market Review #29 & Sampler Update

What a beautiful day at the flea market! The SF skyline was crystal clear and it was so sunny I would have taken my coat off if I wasn't weighed down with junk. I found this old lingerie box, faded to a nice light blue, along with a bunch of old velvet and silk flowers.

I love this very faded purple jewelry box that I picked up for $2. The inside shows the original bright purple but the outside has faded to a gorgeous lilac. It will be perfect to store neeedles in.

My love of industrial metal wouldn't let me pass up the silver strongbox and this round floral wooden box is in great condition with a few well worn chips.

We'll be using this barkcloth on the 20th in one of our projects...

This ledger was a great buy at $5 and the binder in the same exact shade of blue/green has nice strong old metal rings inside.

And finally here is an update on my sampler. I'm finding that once I start on a square (that we're supposed to do one a day of) I want to do more so I'm a bit ahead for once!

i love the silk flowers
those would make perfect for a tea hat that i am making. hint hint,
and the purple box. its so diva-lish. It reminds me of old hollywood, miami, art decor hotels. that it would be placed on the dresser of an hollywood star. i love it and you got it for only 2.00 what a bargin.

I'll have to go with you some month to Alameda Point - that would be fun. I love the things you find. Your sampler is too cute - love it.
