I love the worn leather!! a pair of very small wire-rimmed spectacles, perhaps? The kind that would be used for reading that ou would peer over, because they were always sliding down your nose... you know, the kind that Ben Franklin is always wearing in pictures of him-- maybe??
I was going to say a lipstick case but then realized it wasn't a very feminine pouch. So then I thought a small flashlight but realized maybe they didn't have flashlights back then. So now I am saying a small tool set.
Oh and BTW... I love this daily posting stuff.
I would put Prisma colored pencils in the neat little purse....brown ones! I wonder too what it was meant for???
I think it was for a metal nail file. My father had one similar but without the metal clasp. He had it in his shaving kit with all his WWII things. OR.. maybe you could put a couple of sticks of gum in it! :)
Boo.. I did not want to be Anonymouse! I hope my name came through on this one!
Folding knife holder would be my guess. xo Joan@anythinggoeshere
It is indeed a knife holder, exactly the same one as my grandfather was using!!! Nostalgia.......
I think you should make it a traveling sew kit .
